The Early Childhood Center provides children ages 2 years 9 months to 6 years old with a supportive social and emotional climate. The staff of teachers and assistant teachers is committed to helping your child develop his/her physical social emotional and intellectual abilities by providing a secure and nurturing classroom environment conducive to learning. The curriculum emphasizes the childs use and development of the English language. Non-English speaking children are welcome to the program as well as those with non-academic skills. All children participate in a balanced program of active and quiet experiences: arts and crafts music block building story time dramatic play sand and water play indoor gym and outdoor playground and instructional swimming are a part of your childs schedule of activities. Participation in these activities helps children build self confidence and the ability to work cooperatively with others. The head teachers are New York State Certified and the program is licensed by the New York City Bureau of Day Care and is registered with the New York State Department of Education.
