Immanuel Lutheran Preschool

As a Christian school, we will provide a Christian environment based on love, caring and forgiveness. Religious instruction which is developmentally appropriate will be incorporated into the program in the form of Bible stories, grace before snack, artwork, and monthly chapel services.

Immanuel Lutheran Preschool is a subsidized, non-profit educational agency of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Staff and curriculum are financed through tuition and registration receipts. Overhead charges e.g. mortgage, groundskeeping, heat, eleCenteric, water and other bills are covered by Immanuel Lutheran Church and its members to keep registration and tuition charges competitive.

Tuition is based on total number of academic days in the academic school year and divided into nine equal payments. Since tuition is established on a yearly basis, no adjustments will be made for illness, family vacations, or holidays. A registration fee (see tuition link on this page for more details) is required for preschool enrollment and must be paid at the time enrollment paperwork is returned. The fee is non-refundable.

The Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) licenses Immanuel Lutheran Preschool. We are also licensed by the Cook County Health Department. The Preschool is an auxiliary enterprise of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. Immanuel Lutheran Preschool and its staff also work under the guidelines of the Immanuel Lutheran Church Board of Parish Education. Immanuel Lutheran Preschool is under the jurisdiction of the Preschool Board; Velma Gruenwald is our board advisor.
