All Things Bright & Beautiful Day Care Center is a ministry of the Avis United Methodist Church. We strive to provide the best in child care by guiding and nurturing the children in an environment of color and joy. The center gives positive developmental ethical and spiritual guidance with as much love as the caring parents who entrust their children to our care. We are committed to providing sensible Christian values quality early education and creative play and friendship opportunities as we seek to emphasize all of childhood’s bright and beautiful aspects.

We are a Christian learning center providing a steady Christian example to the children in our care. There are daily prayers before each meal weekly Bible stories and Christian holiday observances. We provide a Christian environment that builds character and shapes values for your child’s future success.

Keystone STARS is a continuous quality improvement program. It has four STAR levels. Each STAR designation has its own research-based performance standards. These standards measure four areas that make a difference in the quality of care your child receives:

PA Pre-K Counts

All Things Bright & Beautiful Day Care Center has partnered with the Jersey Shore Area School District to provide children within the District a positive pre-kindergarten program.

The Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts pre-kindergarten program established by the Pennsylvania Department of Education will make quality pre-kindergarten opportunities available to children and families across the commonwealth.

The Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts program:

• is based on the quality components adopted for pre-kindergarten by the State Board of Education;
• provides families in participating communities with a choice of quality pre-kindergarten options in a school child care center Head Start or nursery school;
• increases access to quality pre-kindergarten to children and families throughout the commonwealth with a priority in at-risk communities; and
• builds on the work of the Pre-K Counts Public-Private Partnership for Educational Success a three-year project funded by leading Pennsylvania foundations and supported by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Creative Curriculum

Our Infant/Toddler Creative Curriculum is designed to introduce the children to the world around them. They will be learning about things that they come in contact with everyday. They will work on extending their vocabulary and begin to delve into the world of art music and movement. The infants and toddlers will be assess using the Ounce Scale.

Our Preschool Creative Curriculum is based on studies on different subjects which the children our interested.. Preschool uses the Work Sampling assessment tool. Our goal is to prepare your child for their transition into school socially and educationally.

Our School-Age curriculum is based on the building blocks that have already been established in preschool. The staff support and encourage each child at their own level in this mixed age group.
