Woodland Montessori was formed in 2002 as an Association of Montessori International (AMI) school. For the next 6 years a combination of Montessori teachings lessons and activities became our main curriculum. In 2008 a new locaiton was opened at 9707 Anderson Mill Rd Austin Texas.
Woodland Montessori belives each child is an unique individual with many gifts. Our program is set us with small classes to meet each chid’s individual needs and to help the child develop in four developmental areas: social emotional cognitive and physical. We offer high quality Montessori program that will aid in the development of the above areas as well as lay the foundation within each child for positive self-esteem and a lifelong love of learning. This mission is accomplished by creating a prepared enironment with our daily curriculum designed with teacher-directed concepts and child-directed activities.

In Woodland Montessori we understand these potentials and will follow a program that is designed to make us as well as the child realize his/her capabilities. While following a structured method that fits each age group we allow each child to adapt and carry on a flexible routine that consists of both play time and work time. Because of their interest and curiosity toward the Montessori mateials the child will quickly learn and will be able to apply it to events beyond the classroom lessons. In completing our program the child will show great independece self-confidence and be well-prepared for school. It is important to create a strong foundation during the first five yearsof the child’s life which will include good manners self-reliance while improving cognitive and critical thinking skills.
