Since its inception in 1905, Gate City has served the needs of working families and continues that tradition today at its three early learning centers located in the heart of Atlanta. Our comprehensive approach to learning maximizes the childs full potential. Our Strengthening Families Initiative provides a social network for families through center-based activities, parenting workshops, and parent resource libraries. Our family-based intervention is designed to help families improve functioning and achieve economic independence.
We operate our program full day, year round, with convenient hours to accommodate working parents. Our well qualified, nurturing staff offers a developmentally appropriate and safe learning environment for young children to gain the skills necessary for them to enter kindergarten prepared to learn. Other benefits from our program include: individualized learning experiences, rich social experiences, developmental and health screenings, nutritious meals and services to meet the special needs of children.

The Gate City Day Nursery Association provides early care and learning for children aged birth to Pre-K. We offer educational, recreational, nutritional, special needs, health and wellness, and social services to our children and families. Our staff members and teachers are well trained in early childhood education, and come to us with varied experiences in education and social services.
We recognize parents as the primary educators, nurturers and advocates for their children. It is our pledge to provide the opportunity for our parents to become actively involved in the shared planning and decision-making process affecting their children.
Program Objectives:
*To use developmentally appropriate practices to provide a print-rich environment where children will acquire the essential building blocks of learning at a very early age, and continue to develop more complex learning skills as they progress through our program.
*To provide a safe, nurturing, wholesome environment based on sound educational principles to enable all children, including those with special needs, to reach developmental milestones and to develop the skills necessary to enter kindergarten prepared to learn.
