Owners Sherri and Joel Walston looked for years for excellent care for their young children. They realized that most available care facilities did not have a Christian environment low ratios enhanced security healthy menus well educated teachers or clean bright and well maintained facilities. In addition to not finding what they wanted for their children they could not find any centers that were providing services to help make their lives easier. After work they had little time to make nutritious dinners AND spend quality time with their children.They thought there had to be a better way.
They not only opened The Peacocks Plume to teach and care for children but to also serve the needs of parents. The Peacocks Plume programs and services can help parents like them spend quality time with their precious children!

We have a curriculum for each age group – even babies! Our curriculums are theme based and all of our students learn about the same things on an age appropriate level. We use Creative Curriculum and DLM for our educational content. Creative Curriculum helps teachers to promote concept development and enhances creativity in individual ways. DLM is very rich in language skills introduction to math and science concepts which prepares our students for kindergarten. We also use Pinnacle for our Christian content. We look at children individually and are able to base our educational activities to their individual needs.
