Wooden Shoe Nursery School

• The Wooden Shoe is approved by the NY State Education Department as a PRIVATE nursery school and is licensed to provide child care by the NY State Department of Social Services.

• We serve families with young children ages 2 months through Kindergarten.

• The Wooden Shoe uses a 24-hour personalized answering service and the director can be reached (by beeper) in emergency situations
  occurring outside of school hours.

• The Wooden Shoe is a non-sectarian program. Many multi-ethnic
  holidays are observed and celebrated in class with open discussions of each. Children of all backgrounds feel “at home” in our nurturing environment.

• The Wooden Shoe accommodates the working parent with flexible
  schedules and personalized attention with a warm caring atmosphere for their children. Special arrangements are a phone call away. Please feel free to contact the school office.

• The classrooms are supervised and the program is monitored on a daily basis by our Educational Director Miss Maureen who has her M.S. in Early Childhood Education.
  This facility is authorized to administer medications
