Valhalla CDCProject Explore was developed in conjunction with the Valhalla School District to respond to a need by parents in Valhalla for quality After School programs Child Care and Pre-Kindergarten programs. Project Explore focuses on Cognitive Development Social Development and Language Development through the After School Integrated Preschool and Inclusive Child Day Care Programs.
The Child Development Center offers three programs:
*After School Program for students ages 5 through 12. This program was developed in coordination with the Valhalla School District and provides after school activities and an exciting curriculum focusing on socialization and development. Activities include enrichment activities designed to supplement their education at their school logic and word games assistance with homework and leisure/recreational activities such as art drama sports and music. *Integrated Preschool for children with disabilities and their typically developing peers ages 3.5 to 5 years. This preschool mirrors our highly successful Project Discovery in Port Jervis. The program provides special education services including Speech Occupational and Physical Therapy Counseling and Special Education to preschoolers with disabilities while simultaneously providing a rich and stimulating curriculum for general education students. Certified Preschool teachers in the Valhalla Center work closely with the Valhalla School District to ensure that all students are more than adequately prepared for Kindergarten. The Integrated Preschool has both a morning and afternoon session. *Inclusive Child Day Care is available for children ages 18 months to 5 years.
