BEST Learning Center

B.E.S.T. Learning Center is a New York State licensed program for children from
infancy through age 12. B.E.S.T. is an acronym for Better Educated Students of Tomorrow;
because our goal is to completely prepare our children socially emotionally and of course
academically to allow them to be happy confident and successful students for the entirety of their school years.

B.E.S.T. Learning Center is family owned and operated by Teresa M. Fitzpatrick also known as Miss Terri and her Dad Charles A. Lauria known to all of our children as Mr. Charlie. Miss Terri is the Educational Director and is responsible for the educational management of the school. Mr. Charlie our Business Director handles all matters concerning business and finances. Miss Gina our Office Manager and Assistant Director helps us be the best that we can be. Many other family members including mothers daughters brothers sisters husbands wives etc. as well as some exceptional friends also proudly contribute to our B.E.S.T. family!

We are extremely fortunate to be surrounded by a wonderful staff made up of loving and dedicated teachers assistants caregivers and more. Many of our staff have been with us for years and years! Our staff is highly educated skilled and trained. All staff members are thoroughly screened to include finger printing background and reference checks physicals etc. We are New York State licensed and are inspected regularly. Our excellent reputation has earned us the confidence of many families in our community.

B.E.S.T. Learning Center was established in 1991 in Kings Park New York. We were located at 180A Lawrence Road in the former San Remo Elementary School building for a little more than 14 years. We were fortunate to serve the tight knit community of Kings Park and many of the neighboring towns. It was a privilege to become an important part of many wonderful families there.

In 2005 we were thrilled to acquire this building at 525 Veterans Memorial Highway in Smithtown New York. Although the building was in dire need of much repair and loving care with the expertise of some great carpenters and helpers once again family and friends to the rescue we miraculously transformed this once forgotten and abandoned building into a bright beautiful school building which is now full of smiles laughter and learning. We are extremely proud of our school building our enriching programs our fabulous staff and more than anything the dynamic vivacious children that have brightened and enriched our days!!
