Our mission is to maximize achievement of our students by:

• Providing a high quality standards-based instructional program for all students in all grade levels
• Providing a comprehensive school-based system of accountability measures which ensure continuous progress for all students
• Providing teachers with intensive training which includes research-based strategies and “best practices” for maximizing student achievement
• Providing innovative technology programs, such as the MIND Institute, in order to give students the opportunity to excel in higher level thinking skills for all curricular areas.
• Leveraging community resources and seeking grant opportunities in order to provide a wide variety of support for our students and families: Reading First Grant, CBET ESL Grant for parents, Healthy Tomorrows, Safe Schools Grant, Latino Health Access, Learning for Life Character Education, Madison Park Community Organization, Pat McCormick Foundation, Ocean Institute Adopt-a-School Program, Outdoor Science Program, Orange County Philharmonic Society “Meet the Artists” and Performing Arts Center Programs
• Opening our school facility beyond regular school hours in order to provide extended learning time and for our students and their families through the support of “Project THINK Together”, State and Federal After-school Programs, East LA Classic Theater “Language in Play” drama program, Century High School TEACH Academy before school program, Latino Health Access parent exercise class and nutrition classes, Community Health and Resource Fairs
• Providing a wide variety of opportunities for parents to be meaningfully involved in the education of their children through School Site Council, English Language Acquisition Committee (ELAC), Strengthening Families Program, Learning for Life Parent Program, Parenting Classes, and Parent Meetings
