our mission is to promote the optimal development and well-being of children and families in our geographic region through the education and training of future professionals, research, and the delivery of services. The Institute draws upon the strengths and expertise of faculty throughout the university, who have devoted their careers to teaching and research related to children and their families. These faculty members provide training in established graduate and undergraduate programs related to the institute such as Child Development, Developmental Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Child Assessment, Special Education, Elementary Education, and Early Childhood Education, Family and Child Health.
