Hilltop is special. Your children will find that Hilltop Child Development Center is a home away from home, a place that provides stability and comfort. The children enjoy great interaction with staff. When you visit the center you may see children reading, doing arts and crafts, cleaning their areas, napping or returning from a field trip. The days are planned so that each child learns according to his or her ability. Your child will enjoy the days spent at Hilltop, and you will enjoy the peace of mind that comes from knowing your child is in good hands.
Because of United Way funding and private donations, Hilltop Day Care Center is able to help families underwrite the cost of child care fees. Fees include breakfast, lunch and snacks. Hilltop is a great place for children from two to five years of age. The center also offers a summer program for school-age children up to ten years old.
Hillside Preschool has provided a warm and caring environment for children ages three to five years old since 1971. Included in the daily schedule is time for social interaction, music, art activities, and language development. The children are encouraged to develop readiness skills necessary for reading. Our teachers help students to express themselves and become self-reliant and ready to enter Kindergarten. Our preschool program admits students of any race, color, or national origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies and other school-administered programs.

Hilltop Child Development Center provides quality child care to families of any ethnic or religious background. We provide children with a wide variety of basic skills that prepare them for success in elementary school. Children are encouraged to develop their creativity, and their physical, intellectual, and social skills. Hilltop places a strong value on developing good self-esteem, verbal and creative expressiveness, assertiveness, and a sense of personal responsibility that is age appropriate.
Each child is valued for their individual strengths and is encouraged to be self-directed in their learning by exploring and investigating their environment.
This learning takes place in a warm, safe, nurturing, and stimulating atmosphere. Hilltop invites and values parental visits or volunteering in the classroom or on special occasions. Furthermore, Hilltop provides support to families through: 1) developing a specialized learning plan for children based on their individual needs 2) using diagnostic tools including: eye exams, hearing test and language and speech assessment 3) provides referrals to other resources.
