Career Launch
Career Launch is our premier career development program that provides a range of services to help Club members develop the skills essential for workforce success. This includes not only getting and keeping a job but also finding a career that fits each members interests and talents.
CLUB Service
CLUB Service is a program especially designed with AmeriCorps to recognize our members who excel in serving their Clubs and communities. CLUB Service provides educational awards to members ages 17 and 18 and Club alumni ages 1924 helping them pursue higher education opportunities and encouraging them to find future careers as Club professionals.
Goals for Graduation
This program introduces members age 6-12 to academic goal-setting by linking their future aspirations with concrete actions today. The programs recognition strategy is designed to give members constant intentional encouragement as their successes are acknowledged and reinforced at every step of their journey.
Junior Staff Career Development
Junior Staff is a practical small-group program that assists Club teens ages 13-18 in exploring a career in youth development or other human services with a particular focus on Boys & Girls Club work. This program aims to develop a qualified competent and committed workforce needed to fulfill the mission of the Boys & Girls Club Movement.
Money Matters: Making it Count
Money Matters is a financial literacy program that uses interactive activities and exercises to educate teens ages 13 to 18 on practical financial matters including managing a checking account budgeting saving investing and paying for college.
Power Hour: Making Minutes Count
Homework completion is a critical component of young peoples academic success. Power Hour is an interactive homework help and tutoring program that encourages Club members ages 6-18 to become self-directed learners. The short-term goal of this program is to help young people develop academic behavioral and social skills through homework completion; the long-term goal is to ensure that youth graduate from high school pursue post-secondary educations and become life-long learners.
Project Learn: The Educational Enhancement Program
Knowledge is power and Project Learn is a force throughout all our Clubs that seeks to reinforce and enhance the skills and knowledge young people acquire through school. Club staff create opportunities to learn through fun with high-yield learning activities such as leisure reading Scrabble games writing activities and group discussions. Project Learn also encourages collaboration between our Club staff parents and school personnel to create the best learning environment for our members.
Skill Tech
All of the BGCP Clubs have been undergoing a technology upgrade to ensure that we offer the most up-to-date facilities hardware and software for our members. The Skill Tech program helps us put that equipment to use by teaching Club members advanced yet practical technology skills. Members explore not just what computers do but also how they work and how they can be used to ensure success in school and the workplace.
