A full day child care program will offer daily activities designed to enhance the physical emotional social and intellectual well-being of each child and to foster peace of mind for children and parents so that they may attend school or work comfortably knowing that their child is safe. Most importantly we want you to know that we recognize that you have entrusted us with your most precious gift your child. Parents are welcome to visit whenever they wish.
Full Day children have an expanded curriculum and participate in daily specials such as swimming Play- Ground Theatre creative movement. Daily specials such as swimming Play- Ground Theatre creative movement and pee wee sports. This program is educational as well as fun and will give your child a strong foundation for kindergarten. Diapers are accepted for your 2 year old 3 year olds must be potty trained. This facility is authorized to administer over-the-counter topical ointments only

The YMCA Preschool is devoted to providing educational social and physical opportunities in a safe secure environment. Each child benefits from our comprehensive curriculum that is designed for discovery choice making problem solving and creative expressions. The balanced program includes art science music story time and cooking in addition to math and reading readiness skills. A session of swim instruction is included in the 3 and 4 year olds classes. All ages will enjoy a session of Fitness Fun and our Arts-in-Education Fund provides for special programs to visit the Preschool.
The YMCA Patchogue Family Center Preschool is licensed by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services. We follow all regulations to provide a safe and high quality program for preschoolers. Our Preschool is staffed with certified and experienced teachers with a staff and child ratio that meets or exceeds state guidelines.
In addition the Preschool staff is certified in CPR First Aid and Child Abuse Prevention. All staff has completed extensive background checks and participates in professional staff development training.
