Owensboro Catholic Schools are a Catholic/Christian school system that provides a quality education to its students. We do this in a disciplined, safe environment rich in tradition.

We offer students and their parents a family atmosphere, challenging curriculum, caring and professional teachers and opportunities for spiritual and academic growth.

Owensboro Catholic Schools are fully accredited by the State of Kentuckys Non-Public Schools Commission. The Owensboro Catholic Elementary has two campuses. The K-3 Campus serves our Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Grade students while the 4-6 Campus serves our 4th, 5th and 6th grade students. This allows our students to collaborate academically and socially to create a strong school unit.

Owensboro Catholic Elementary (as a part of the Owensboro Catholic School System) shares in the mission of the Church in cooperation with families to provide a religious and academic education, which prepares students to become responsible members of family, Church and community.

The Elementary K-3 Campus is dedicated to Mary through the Annunciation, the Elementary 4-6 Campus is dedicated to Mary through the Immaculate Conception, OCMS is dedicated to the Holy Family and OCHS is dedicated to Mary through the Assumption.

To that end, students receive religious instruction daily, attend Mass weekly, participate as liturgical ministers (cantors and lectors), and partake in school wide community service projects.

The philosophy of the Owensboro Catholic Schools is one centered on the total
development of the Christian child: spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, cultural,
emotional and physical. It is our belief that the function of the educator is to
nurture this development of students as persons of the community, supporting
and building on the faith-life of the child which is begun in the home. We believe
in the importance of a stable environment in which each member of the school
family will be comforted and challenged by the Gospel message.
