At Holy Cross Lutheran Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC), we believe that Christianity is the basis of all education; for Gods promise is that we are to, train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.
(Proverbs 22:6) We strive to recognize and meet the childs emotional, social, spiritual and physical needs. We believe that children learn best by working with hands-on experiences using their five senses in a creative learning atmosphere. We acknowledge the parent as the primary iNFLuence and dedicate ourselves to cooperate with them in the shared responsibility of educating their child; for Gods command is that parents are to bring up their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. (Ephesians 6:4)
We recognize the uniqueness of each child and offer opportunities for growth by providing them with a positive, creative and stimulating environment in which to develop and learn. It is our hope that by focusing on the whole child, with a strong emphasis on self-esteem, our children will enjoy continued successes in the world.
We believe that play is to be respected as a vehicle for learning. Children use this mode to model, create, explore, solve problems, interact socially, pretend and dream.
Holy Cross Lutheran ECEC is an extension of the mission and ministry of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, a member congregation of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
