Kips Bay Boys Club

The Lucile Palmaro Clubhouse which opened in 1969 is the original Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club facility in the Bronx. It is the largest of Kips Bay’s 10 direct service sites enrolling approximately 70% of Kips Bay’s membership. The Palmaro Clubhouse and the adjacent Frederic R. Coudert Sports Complex have unique amenities which are available to all Club members irrespective of the Kips Bay location that they regularly attend.

The special facilities of the Palmaro Clubhouse and Coudert Sports Complex include Olympic swimming pool air-conditioned performing arts hall air-supported dome over cushioned turf and the Bronx’ only ice skating rink. On a periodic basis youngsters from all sites are transported to the Palmaro Clubhouse on Kips Bay’s buses to use these facilities.
