The center provides enriched activities which enhance the child’s ability to respect the rights and feelings of others, to learn to share, to give them an opportunity to make judgments and decisions, thus increasing a positive self-concept and personal strength in individual or small group activities.
The educational program is designed to help children develop socially, and cognitively through the pre-school years until age 5. Communication skills are brought about by developing in the child an awareness of his /her own self-expression and thoughts through interaction with other children and teachers in a safe, warm, friendly and healthy environment that allows the teachers to observe each child’s development to the fullest.
The program is geared to teach each child choices in judgments and decisions, which will help, prepare them for living in the community. The CDC is an excellent environment in which to prepare children for the diversity they are likely to encounter as they grow, enter school, and seek fulfillment as adults.
