We provide a balanced comprehensive and success-oriented curriculum in a sensitive caring supportive learning environment. Our program ensures a successful transition from the self-contained classroom structure of the elementary school to the departmentalized structure of the high school while providing support and direction in your child’s transition from late childhood to adolescence. Our program includes a multi-grade advisory program block scheduling and interdisciplinary instruction. World languages taught at the seventh and eighth grade levels include Latin French and Spanish. The Middle School also has a dual language program an accelerated/honors program research program as well as extensive music and art programs.
A basic premise of educational philosophy is that the intellectual emotional and cultural development of the individual is mainly the result of a learning process. This education building on the native talents of the individual child is effected indirectly through personal experiences informally within the framework of the family or group and formally through the organized and deliberated efforts of the school. In our complex society the school has assumed increased importance as the agency responsible for providing each child with opportunities that will foster the development of an investigative analytical mind and an enriched appreciation of our cultural heritage. This facility is authorized to administer over-the-counter topical ointments only
