Our Beginning
Net Generation Kids was founded by Chelsea Smith-Standberry, Founder & CEO, in March of 2009. Mrs. Smith-Standberry, an EleCenterical Engineer, has worked in the aeronautics, space, and nuclear industries as an engineer for over 8 years. After the birth of her first child, who is now an avid 2-year old computer user, she was divinely led through her passion for kids and engineering, to start a company that focused on the development of kids at an early age in science, technology, engineering and math in the community. After learning about the Imagine Tomorrow curriculum, she decided to partner with the company as a licensee allowing her to offer computer classes to kids starting at the early age of 2 using the Imagine Tomorrow custom software, which incorporates the same focus of Net Generation Kids – Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math. The near-term goal of the company is to also add a program for kids from ages 8 to 18 in computers, website design, and robotics.

Our Vision
The vision for Net Generation Kids is to technically touch the lives of the new generation in a way that leaves a digital imprint in the minds of every child. The new generation consists of kids who are exposed to a world of technology from television, cell phones, computers, to the internet, thus the “Net Generation”. By introducing kids at an early age, it helps to bridge the gap between the ever-changing digital world and the young net generation kids to foster a love for math, science, engineering, and technology, build career awareness, and create a technical path for kids to continue to follow throughout their lives.

Our Mission
To promote the education of kids in science, technology, engineering and math to kids at early ages by bringing the curriculum into every classroom.

Net Generation Love Foundation
The non-profit sector of Net Generation Kids is seeking 501 © 3 tax-exempt status which provides portable computer classes as well as development in science, technology, engineering and math for underpriviledged kids in the Atlanta and surrounding areas. The Net Generation Love Foundation is committed to transforming our community into a computer-savvy, highly educated environment. This transformation must start with our kids and must be far reaching into all neighborhoods regardless of their income status. The funding for the kids is provided by our corporate and community sponsors, and public donations. Students may recieve a scholarship or free tuition in one term (8-weeks) up to one year of computer classes for each award session based on need. If you are interested in receiving more information to apply for assistance through the foundation or if you are a school director who would like to recommend one of your students for assistance, please email: NetGenLove@netgenkids.com. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor and/or making donations, please email: NetGenLove@netgenkids.com.
