Hi, my name is Ty’Asia. I have been babysitting for approximately 10 years. The age ranges are from 1 year old to 8 years of age. I am very kind and patient when dealing with children. I enjoy puzzles, reading books, board games, and painting. I love taking kids to the park. I limit screen time, but when I allow it, I love HBO’s Happily Ever After: Fairy Tales for every child, many old and current children’s series and movies. I currently have a full-time job as a paralegal. I am college-educated with a degree in media studies from SUNY Old Westbury and a certificate in legal studies from Nassau Community College. In the past, I took psychology courses, as well as, children’s literature. I am currently preparing to take the LSAC to get into law school, and my hobbies include reading and writing. I am currently writing a children’s book. The kids I used to nanny for were boys and girls. I potty-trained, bathed, clothed, and showed them how to brush their teeth. I love instilling words of affirmation and teaching kids to respect themselves and others. I would set boundaries, including teaching empathy and how others might feel. This helps with articulating their feelings and setting limits, even as they respect others’ limits.
