I am a Masters student studying Mental Health Counseling and I moved here from New Orleans, Louisiana after graduating with a Bachelors degree in Psychology. I have a passion for working with children and my goal is to become a registered play therapist upon graduating. In New Orleans I gained a variety of experience with two families that I provided consistent childcare for. One family I worked for had two sets of twins, who I would care for daily, and I was with them for three years. I assisted with homework and test preparation, managed evening routines, and provided transportation to and from activities. The second family I worked for had three children and I was responsible for implementing speech therapy efforts for the youngest, planning stimulating activities, and communicating with the parents about their childrens daily needs and behavior. I was with this family for two years. I am a creative, patient, and nurturing person and have strong interpersonal and engagement skills.
