I love working with kids because they are so fun to be around and truly bring me so much joy! They are so smart and creative in their own unique ways that gets easily overlooked at times. I want to be a part of maintaining and growing their imaginative, creative, and interpersonal skills that they can apply in school or with other kids their age. I have experience with kids ages 0-5 as I volunteered at a local church to care for the kids during the church service. For the pre-K kids I had to follow a lesson plan with set activities for the kids to participate in and keep them engaged at all times. Im also the oldest sister in my family so Ive had the caretaker role for my younger siblings and cousins for as long as I can remember! Being that I am the oldest sibling I have always taken on the role of being responsible, able to resolve conflict/ compromise, and helping with homework as needed. I love doing arts and crafts as well so I would love to find creative ways for kids to be entertained that doesn’t involve being in front of a screen!
