I love being a sitter because I get to connect with kids and support families. Every child is so unique, and I am all about creating that safe and fun environment where they feel comfortable, happy, and engaged. It’s also incredibly rewarding knowing that, through me, parents will have peace of mind with their children well taken care of. Whether it be playing games, helping with homework, or even just talking, I cherish being a part of the day of any child, helping them grow in joy. I’ve worked with children from infancy up to the school age: babies to school age, really. I have also been serving as a babysitter to several families within my location for the last 5 years, thereby exposing myself to practical activity concerning different needs and schedules. I’ve also helped with children’s activities such as tutoring and arts and crafts, to name a few. It is also a great company for short-sitting terms to long-term commitments; in fact, it is very flexible with schedules and routines. Child Development Knowledge: I understand the stages of childhood development, which helps in involving the child with age-related activities designed to promote learning. Communication Skills: I realize how important it is to keep parents informed and to communicate clearly with children, especially in setting boundaries and expectations. Creative Play: I like organizing creative and fun-filled activities that help develop creativity and inquisitiveness in children. Problem Solving: Adaptableable to find solutions to challenges presented, be it helping with homework or diffusing situations between siblings.
