Hi there! Im Valerie. :) Im a college graduate who majored in Science while attending nursing school to earn my diploma of Nursing. I worked as an RN for several years and while I loved caring for my patients, my heart kept telling me I was meant to work with children and we only live once so I made the leap and decided to go for it! First, I spent some time taking care of my grandmother who was very ill. After that, I helped my parents out with our familys small business until they unfortunately had to close last year. Folllowing that, I stayed with my brother for a while, caring for my godson who needed around the clock care due to complications he endured after being born at just 24 weeks. This consisted of keeping him on a breathing tube, administering medications through a tube in his belly and also administering two feedings every couple of hours while watching him like a hawk! Finally, following that, Ive held a couple temp positions mostly clerical work.

Currently, Ive been contemplating the idea of going back to school for early childhood education. Ive volunteered at my church with children, have baby sat for family many times and thought this position would be a great opportunity!

I myself am a mother, but my son is 18, so Ive likely had experience with any stage your little ones are at! I am patient, kind, compassionate and loving. I can also be energetic and entertaining. Im a strong believer that we should speak kindness and life over each otherespecially children, so I would say I have more of a gentle and nurturing nature. At the same time, I believe in mutual respect between children and adults, and furthermore believe its our responsibility to set that example with love.

I thoroughly enjoy talking and playing and being silly and fun and Im pretty confident that I could get even the most shy child to open up and have some fun.

Importantly, I am responsible and do well with following a schedule but would be completely comfortable winging it as well, while completing any tasks that need to be completed before you return home.
