Im a current Columbia University student going into my second year. As an older sister of two brothers, taking care of children has always been a huge part of my life. I often look after my brothers and their friends, and have been taking on paid babysitting roles in my neighborhood since high school. Ive also worked on numerous programs centered around children: I founded an after-school debate camp for elementary schoolers, tutored debate for middle schoolers, and ran a weekly peer support program for fifth graders dealing with behavioral issues after returning to in-person school. From these experiences, Ive learned to be in tune with the emotional and academic needs of children, as well as how to be a positive and attentive role model. Im very responsible and detail-oriented, and have worked with children of all ages and personalities. My fundamental philosophy is to lead with care; and I believe this principle, along with my robust childcare experience, makes me equipped to adapt to the needs of any child.
