Im a college student and theres many things I like about being a sitter. Coming from a large family, I know firsthand that parents or caretakers need some time away from their children and sometimes unexpectedly. Of course, its important that when the occasion arises, they can rely on someone who is trustworthy, responsible, and who knows how to treat children with the respect and kindness they deserve. Through my experience regularly babysitting the children in my family, Ive learned how to navigate communication with children so that they feel comfortable and are motivated to work with me to get through their day while feeling free to express themselves. That sense of security for children is a high priority of mine to establish and maintain, beyond the specific responsibilities involved for each individual child according to their familys instruction. What I love most about babysitting is the joy of spending time with children, getting to know their personalities, and the reward of seeing how my care and attention can be a support to them and their family.
