Hi my name is Jazmine Haynes Im 22 years old from Queens, NYC but now live in New Jersey. I come from a big family Im the oldest of 4 children my family and families I have worked for describe me as kind, genuine, loving, caring, attentive, and reliable. My family’s cultural background is Caribbean from Jamaica. Growing up in my big family with my siblings and having a lot of cousins younger and older on both sides of my family Ive helped raise and take care of a lot of children from a young age including family friends children/other neighborhood children. I have an educational background in Psychology with a focus on early childhood and childcare. I graduated last May 2023 with my Associates Degree in Psychology from Union County College and Im currently in school pursuing my Bachelors Degree in Psychology at Kean University, doing online classes since September 2023. Im on a career path to become a therapist/psychologist for young children and young adults. I have experience working in homes babysitting since I was 16 years old and over time Ive networked my way up until my most recent employment at a private childcare school called Primrose School of Berkeley Heights where I was a full time teacher’s assistant and I worked with so many young children and met some amazing co workers that are now my friends. Throughout my childcare career journey the youngest age of children Ive worked with are newborns and the oldest Ive worked with are teenagers. Ive encountered so many wonderful children and their families that I still think about to this day and I will always be grateful for.When it comes to working with children I always love seeing a spark in them when theyre happy and excited about helping others, doing all the fun activities that differ throughout all the seasons, and always feel empathetic and reassuring when theyre not feeling so happy, I always try to keep any children around me whether it be personally my family, a family Im working with or even children I dont know in happy spirits.I want to feel welcomed,appreciated, respected,supported, cared for by any family I work with because that what I want to express and show fourth to them for trusting me to be apart of their children lives and within their family. I have a very calming but enthusiastic personality and I love singing and music. So I would love for families to be open to me bringing that energy into their homes.
