My name is Spencer Katz and I am a native New Yorker and current teacher at The Birch Wathen Lenox School on the Upper East Side. I have been working with children since I was a high school student coaching youth sports. I have over 8 years of experience working at camps, day care programs, and school. I enjoy teaching kids and helping them grow, learn, and improve their skills. I specialize in coaching basketball, baseball, and soccer; I also have other interests and experiences in the arts, fashion, and music. I enjoy working with kids of all ages, specifically children aged 5 through 18 recently but I also have extensive experience working with children under the age of 5. I am adept at and comfortable with watching multiple children at once. Working at both a sleep-away camp and day camp has prepared me to oversee up to 15-20 children at a time. Additionally, being a coach and educator helped me acquire the skills necessary to provide an enriching environment for all kinds of children from various backgrounds. Due to my diverse experiences working with children, I can provide a multitude of activities, games, and learning/tutoring opportunities to optimize your child’s experience and free-time whilst under my care. Ultimately, it is my goal for the children I am caring for to be safe, engaged, and entertained.

Rate: $25/hour – $30/hour
