Hi everyone! My name is Lea. My experience with children began when I coached a group of 6- to 12-year-olds in volleyball for 2-3 years. Watching them grow and gain confidence made me realize my passion for working with kids. Seeing their faces light up when they achieve something new, and knowing I played a part in their development, is incredibly fulfilling. In 9th grade, I became a certified C-license coach, specializing in coaching young children. As an active athlete, I compete in volleyball and running races in college, which helps me stay energetic and engaged with the kids I work with.
After high school, I worked as an au pair in Dumbo for two years, caring for four children aged 6, 8, 10, and 13. I loved creating a nurturing and supportive environment for them, helping with their homework, organizing fun activities, and being there as a mentor and friend. As a college student, I also worked as a full-time nanny for 6- and 8-year-olds. I cherish the moments of laughter and learning we shared and take pride in fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere where children can express themselves freely. Now, I’m seeking opportunities for the summer or future to continue this rewarding work and make a difference in children’s lives.
