Im excited to introduce myself and share a bit about my background and experience working with children. My name is Katherine Guallpa and as the oldest of four siblings, Ive always been immersed in the world of caregiving. My siblings are much younger than me, so from an early age, I took on a significant role in their upbringing. This has given me a deep understanding of childrens needs and the patience and responsibility required to care for them.

In addition to my personal experience, Ive worked professionally with children of various ages. As an overnight ambassador for my University, I had the privilege of hosting high school students and introducing them to college life, helping them transition smoothly into this new phase. This role honed my ability to connect with teenagers and support them through significant changes.

Furthermore, I have experience with younger children through my work with the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP). As a camp counselor, I spent my time organizing and leading activities for elementary and middle school children, ensuring they had a fun and enriching experience.

What sets me apart is the blend of my personal and professional experiences. Being an older sister has naturally equipped me with the skills to babysit and care for children, fostering a nurturing environment where they feel safe and supported. My diverse experience across different age groups allows me to adapt to the unique needs of each child, making me a versatile and empathetic caregiver.
