Hello! I am a student at the School of Visual Arts studying Photo and Video.

I have previously worked with kids ages 6-9 as a summer art teacher at Avenues the World school’s GoProject. This meant working with classes of around 20 6 to 9-year-olds. Being an art teacher gave me experience engaging with children’s individual personalities and goals. We had many fun projects and tasks that allowed the children to learn to share their own ideas in groups and also work individually.

Before this I had worked as a teachers assistant at a children’s cooking summer camp! As I’m sure you know baking with children in large groups can be quite the stressful task as you want to make sure everyone is being as hygienic as possible. Whilst also having fun and keeping the kids engaged.

I thoroughly enjoyed both of these experiences and am eager to work with children again! As an older sister I know how valuable it is for kids to have as many good role models in their life as possible!
