I’ve been a competent babysitter since I was 13 years old, starting as a mothers helper at age 10 with my first of two younger sisters, as well as many families in my community growing up. I’ve worked in multiple day camps for children ages 7-12 and also have substitute taught for ages pre-12th grade. I grew up in the mountains of Vermont before cellphones or much internet, and take a very pro-creativity approach to sitting. I love reading to kiddos, baking or cooking, and promoting any craft based activities. I can also help with studying for tests, running lines, or getting any homework done. If your child is more hands off I am very happy to give them their space and just be a present adult when required. I do not believe in babying or patronizing children, and will never talk down to them as I really believe in their constitution as developing humans. I’m looking forward to seeing if I’d be a good fit with your family!
