Hi there! My name is Brooke Best and here is a little bit about myself!
I am currently 18 years old and a first-year student at Pace University in the financial district of downtown Manhattan. I was born and raised in Thousand Oaks, California, which is about 40 minutes northwest of Los Angeles. I graduated from Newbury Park High School in June 2016 and moved to Manhattan three months later to begin my freshman year at Pace!
In my toddler years, I began dancing and have been ever since. It’s always been my main sport and extracurricular outlet in and outside of school. I know that I am going to be a performer and entertainer of some sort when I am older, but I did not want to jump into any specific major my first year of college. So, I currently hold an undecided major, which gives me a very open schedule to get involved in things outside of school, like work, since my classes are just general education and electives. I worked as a waitress at an Irish Pub all of my first semester, and left right before Christmas vacation started. I am now ready to get back into doing what I know and love best!

I began babysitting when I was about 12 or 13, because I have two little sisters, so it just came along with the job of being the oldest sibling! When my neighbors noticed how great I was with children, they asked me to start babysitting for them when I turned 14 and started High School. They had a 2 year old girl and a newly born baby boy. This was my first paid job I ever had, as well as my first time babysitting kids other than my little sisters. I babysat them for about 2 years, up until they moved away. Now at the age of 16, I had my Mom’s friends start to contact me asking if I can babysit their children. I have babysat for many different families with children of ages ranging from infancy to pre-teen years (middle school). Most of these jobs were a one-time thing or on and off, except for one. Starting in December of 2014, I began babysitting for Mike and Nancy Devere who have three children, ages 2, 7, and 9 at the time. I was their main babysitter for those following 2 years leading right up to my last day in California, and now they are like family! (Phone number is listed under my references)
