Write a messageHi, my name is Anna. I am an honors junior at City College of New York, pursuing a double major in Comparative literature and Art History. I am a native French, English, and Russian speaker and am fluent in German as well.
Children have always played a significant role in my life. I am very family-oriented, as I grew up in a large household, being one of four children. I have over six years of experience working as a nanny, family assistant, mothers helper, tutor, and babysitter for various families in different countries. I have experience with children of all ages. I love working with children as I find them very relatable, despite being an adult. I find it essential to keep children engaged and take great pride in finding an activity that suits and fits your childs needs and interests. A few examples of these would be reading, dancing, board games, chess, imaginary games, running around playgrounds, exploring nature, learning new things (such as languages, science facts, and history), and arts and crafts. These are just a few among a long list. I find that often, the approach you take with a child and their experience with learning, schoolwork, or conflict dramatically impacts the response you receive. In my experience, children often respond well to such challenges when these are explained to them from a perspective they can understand.
I am reliable and a very hard worker, and my references can attest to this. I am happy to help with housework, meal prep, errands, laundry, homework, and the organization of playdates or extracurricular activities. My previous position entailed working for a family with three children: G2 (special needs, developmental problems), G4, and B7. I was a full-time employee, and my duties ranged from being a personal assistant to being a nanny. Additionally, I have a lot of experience with overnight care and have full weekend availability if coverage for date nights or events is necessary or of any interest.
I am new to Care.com, so I dont yet have any reviews. However, if my profile interests you and you think I would be a good fit, I would happily provide my resume and references to support my previously described qualifications.
