Hello Families,

Im currently a PreK teacher at a wonderful Reggio Emilia inspired school in Lower Manhattan. My school offers a morning program which leaves me with availability in the afternoons (2pm +) and on Weekends.

A former nanny and teacher with a range of experiences working with children from an au pair position in the French Pyrenees and ESL academies and English immersion preschools in South Korea to various positions over 10 years in New York City, including Italian speaking weekend babysitter and full-time care for preschool aged children.

I love to engage children in fun and creative activities based on their interests and parents goals for them and general developmental milestones. I enjoy engaging children through games and project based learning, and find myself most aligned with Reggio Emilia inspired learning that builds community, values real experience, is both child lead and inquiry based. I believe that learning to read in a fun, meaningful way without pressure is a gift as it opens doors to reading amazing childrens literature, building autonomy, and having a head start at school which can build confidence among other benefits.

Children learn early literacy skills in my care, in fun interactive ways that include their favorite books, building, creative projects, games and a variety of Learning without Tears materials. If you want your child to begin learning a new language, and/ or work on English language acquisition and early readying skills, Im happy to help. I believe in always getting a little time outside and forming a loving, trusting relationship as the foundation for all learning.

I love new experiences, art in all forms, puppies, and watching small children grow as they engage with their world.

Additional services: Swimming supervision, Crafts, Potty training, and Travel with family.
