I am a graduate student who is currently working towards a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice and Forensic Psychology however, I have a very flexible school schedule including online courses that allow me to optimize my employment schedule. My qualifications for working with children include 2+ years experience working in schools (both public and private) and with a diversity of children! Some of those including children with physical disabilities and learning disabilities, toddlers, middle school aged children, and having the opportunity to work in two states, California and New York. I adapt well to new environments and routines however, I believe in prioritizing a child’s needs and making necessary adjustments when applicable. I am also fluent in Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing), currently learning French, I am CPR trained, and more willing to receiving anymore certifications and training that would make me a better caregiver!
Education should empower children to become critical thinkers, lifelong learners, and engaged beings- therefore I strive to plan fun, enriching, and educational activities when possible! From the 5 years babysitting experience that I have had, I have made sure to include the child’s interest and milestones when choosing activities that will stimulate and promote the growth and development of the child.
