Greetings,
I am a nanny with over 50 years of experience raising and teaching
children. I have been with my current family, full-time for over eight years now,
caring for their first, and then second child. As the youngest is beginning school
full time now, there is no longer a need for my services and I am looking for my
next position.
I pride myself on providing intensive attention to my charges. My time with
your child is time with your child, not parking them in front of a screen; playing
with them, guiding their development, teaching them manners and self-discipline,
as well as giving them a jump start on their academic skills, all while maintaining
the fun quotient to keep them engaged and enthusiastic. The children that I have
helped raise have a love of reading and books instilled, have an understanding of
basic math, and have life skills beyond those of their peers, putting them well
ahead upon entering school, with an ethic that should allow them to maintain that
edge all through their lives. Most importantly, I teach them to love and respect
themselves, as having a sense of self-worth is perhaps the most important life
skill there is.
As Ive said, I have been doing this for a very long time, and I am very
proud of what my children have achieved, both academically, and in terms of
their personal development. I have attached a reference from my current family,
as well as the Garden City Hotel, where I provide on-call childcare occasionally.
