Hello parents :) I present myself not only as a babysitter but as a care taker and contributor to the development of your child/children so (s)he/they can grow up to be the best adults (s)he/they can be while navigating this beautiful, strange and often tough world we live in. With six years experience, I am emotionally sensitive, I am creative and artistic, and have worked in the art world as a freelance textile designer for a decade. My hobbies include sewing, crocheting and drawing. Having grown up in a house in a forest, I love doing outdoor activities and can also contribute to the caring of the family pets. I have a BA and MA in Political Science and International Relations, and am knowledgable in History, Philosophy, Sociology, amongst others. Plus, I am a Portuguese native speaker, fluent in English and can hold conversations in Spanish and French. I consider myself to be culture-sensitive, having travelled in America, Europe, Africa and Asia, and worked as intern at the United Nations in New York and the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs stationed in Mozambique. I have been working as a part-time after-school nanny since 2018, with ocasional extra weekends, sleep-ins, sick days. I stayed one year with a family of four kids and five years with a family of two kids. I left my previous job, after careful planning with the parents, due to the acceptance of my US Visa.
