Hello all!
My name is Cassandra and I’m 20 years old and a rising junior at Sarah Lawrence College . I’m passionate about social justice, activism, and media studies! Some of my personal interests are reading, film/media critique, video games, volleyball, and yoga!
I’ve spent 6 amazing years with Hope for the Heart, an organization that packs meals for our local community and those abroad facing food insecurity due to natural disasters a truly rewarding experience.
In terms of working with kids, I’ve been a camp counselor at LuHi summer camps for first-grade boys and spent 2 years in an afterschool tutoring program for middle schoolers during my high school years. Additionally I volunteered at the i-Can-Bike program at LIU Post where I helped children with special needs learn how to ride a bicycle. I also have a year of experience dog-sitting!
