Hi, my name is Cristina and I love working with kids! Im a student at WPU and want to become a childrens speech therapist. Before my current job at a JCC, I didnt have any official experience working with kids, but I always knew that I had a strong desire of caring for and teaching them, and I was surprised at how quickly I was able to pick up on the dynamics of being in a classroom with 12+ babies/kids. Taking care of children requires constantly being loving and patient, and even though Im always providing those things to them, Im taken aback by how much I learn from them on a daily basis. Overall, I like to make sure Im able to create a comforting, fun, and safe space for those that look up to me, literally and metaphorically!
