Hello! I have always loved working with children starting from a young age. In college, I decided to work at a summer camp in the city, which led to working at an afterschool program once I graduated from college, which then led me to working with teachers during the school day. I have also worked recently as an assistant teacher at a social skills program.

One thing that sets me apart from others is my extensive work with many different kinds of children from many different backgrounds with many different needs (having worked in an educational background I have experience with a wide variety of kids, not just a few select children). This allows me to be very flexible. I also have experience with progressive education which is all about highlighting a child’s strengths and praising what they do well. I have extensive experience working with parents on how to best help each child reach their full potential and work together to create a plan to do so. I’m patient and have a kind and calming demeanor. I also have a background in the arts so if your child is interested in anything creative I can create activities that allow them to tap into this side of them.

There are many things I love about working with children—I love the unique perspective they bring on how they view the world, so vastly different than we adults have. I love their creativity, their curiosity, their yearning to learn, the ways they think outside of the box. It’s amazing to watch them grow and come into their own as they discover themselves and what brings them joy. They are also so much fun and so funny. I very much look forward to working with your child!
