Hello, my name is Kathleen. I was born in Hong Kong and moved to US when I was one years old. I was raised in New Jersey and graduated from Rutgers University with a psychology degree. My experience with children started when I became an older sister to my younger brother. My parents will both be at work leaving me (I was 15 yrs) with my brother (5 yrs). From there I became my family babysitter and looked after my cousins as well. After graduating from university, I worked as an Infant teacher and Preschool Teacher at the daycare. I really enjoy life and playing and working with children. I like to use creative play, use our imaginations, read, and have fun with children. I also enjoy challenging kids and adding in educational aspects to play, asking children why and their opinions, and learning together. I believe every child has great potential and is unique in their own way. I really enjoy seeing how children’s minds work and there is so much for me to learn from them too! Some of my hobbies are listening to music, lots of reading, coffee, and exercise. I have learned a lot about kids through my years of experience. I believe every child is unique and I will try to understand them and accommodate to their needs. I’m confident you’ll leave feeling comfortable that your kid will have a good time!
