Hi! My name is Layla and I am a recent graduate of AMDA in the Musical Theater program. I’ve always loved working with kids, and am looking to rekindle that passion of mine here in NYC. Because I’m an actor, my schedule is somewhat inconsistent, so I am looking for babysitting opportunities here and there for the days I’m not attending auditions.

I’d describe my personality as caring, responsible, and relaxed. I like working with kids because I think being around children reminds adults of the simple joys in life. Also, I think it’s really cool that as a babysitter, I could play a small role into making the kid I’m working with grow up to be an amazing person.

I started working with kids when I was about 13. I worked as a 1-on-1 for a 3-year-old boy with special needs while he attended a day camp. After being his one-on-one for a few summers, I was hired as a counselor at that camp for the following 5 years. I took babysitting jobs in my free time as well while in high school.

Im an actor, so I’m making a career out of my “hobbies,” but in addition to that, I love to do arts and crafts, bake, and journal. I also just got a baby kitten a few weeks ago, so my favorite activity is to cuddle with her! My babysitting skills include being patient with kids, kindly helping them learn from their mistakes, and being ready to play WITH them.
