Hi I am Zakiya born and raised in Oakland. I am living in New York now after being a full time nanny for an amazing family of 4 for the past 2.5 years in San Francisco. I am studying currently to become an entomologist and have been teaching for over 10 years all different ages. I have been working at a preschool for 6 and have worked at middle schools. I am an artist and naturalist I love nature and sharing experiences with kids and family the beauty of nature. I am always entertained by the minds of kids and believe they are the most profound humans. I love to create with them from art, cooking, games, music, dance, imaginary play, nature walks and more. I speak some Portuguese and Spanish and am able to share my languages with them as well. I am looking to help families with that extra hand we all need in these times.
