Hi there! I’m Sophie, I am 26 years old and I have years of experience working with children. In Covid, I nannied my cousin’s 6 month-old daughter, Mia, while her parents were working from home. We would go on daily stroller walks, play with her toys, read stories and learn new skills like rolling over on to her stomach. I find it’s important that children at this age hear the expression in your voice. It is easy to go quiet as they can’t communicate with you but that’s not fun for the sitter or the child. We discovered Mia loved ABBA and dancing so that was a daily activity!

I also have experience with older children. I was a regular babysitter to a family in CT to a family of two children in elementary school. I would wait for them at their bus stop after school, go to the park and cook dinner for them until their parents would come home from work. They loved gadgets and experimenting so we would make a lot of slime from Elmer’s Glue and baking soda or play with remote control planes.

I am a kid at heart so I love to play but I also love getting to know you as parents and forming a relationship. You matter too! I do comedy in the city and I am an oil painter. I was raised by an excellent cook so mealtime with the kids is no problem for me!
