Using my 10+ years of experience in childcare along with a background in the field of developmental psychology I strive to not only keep the children I care for safe and well-behaved, but to also help them navigate the difficult and often confusing journey through childhood. My goal in caretaking is to give children the tools to self-reflect and understand their emotions/behavior so that they can use those tools well on into adulthood. Since I was in high school I have tutored and nannied for children from a variety of different backgrounds, ages, and abilities. Coming from a neurodivergent family myself, I find that working with children who have autism, adhd, and/or other executive functioning difficulties to be extremely rewarding and have years of experience taking care of children with learning/developmental disabilities and behavioral difficulties.
