Hi everyone! I am Miki, an undergrad at Brown University studying Biochemistry & Psychology.

I believe that fostering a nurturing, supportive and safe environment for children is one of the most important and rewarding duties of any community! With 5+ years of experience working as a medical receptionist at a pediatric clinic and 1 year working as a childcare teacher supporting toddlers and preschool aged children, I find joy in helping children grow and engage with their blossoming worlds! I am also a hospice volunteer at a nursing home, providing compassionate care to patients including assistance with activities of daily living, companionship and recreational activities. This past semester, one of my favorite courses I took was children’s cognitive development and I’ve learned that children navigate their worlds in confidence and curiosity when provided meaningful companionship and mentorship. Young children in particular are empowered to discover, question and grow via the myriad of resources and tools provided by their primary caregivers and so I believe that babysitting gives me the honor to be entrusted to continue the same journey.

Outside from work and school, I LOVE arts & crafts (all kinds!) but I love to draw and crochet! I enjoy swimming and volleyball and my favorite childhood book is Chrysanthemum!
