I’m Melanie Williams, and I’ll be your child’s after-school assistance. I’ve been at York Child and Family Services for one year. Prior to working here,, I worked at an at-home daycare as a part of an internship for my senior year in high school. I am currently at York College studying Music Performance with a minor in Music Production. My primary instrument is the piano, therefore in addition to being one of your child’s teachers, I am an artist. I also have a strong foundation in the visual arts, having painted since I was a child. While working at York, I enjoyed teaching the children in my care about the color wheel and making music with the instruments in our classroom. I truly do believe that participating in the arts is a wonderful experience that helps build character, and self-esteem, and develop great communication skills in a child of any age.
