Hello! My name is Mara, and I am originally from South Texas. I attended college on the East Coast. I graduated from Lafayette College in May 2022, majoring in Biology as a pre-med student with a minor in Spanish. I have been working with children since I was in high school in Texas. I also have experience as a teacher. During two of my college summers, I worked as a Teacher’s Assistant. I collaborated closely with teachers to ensure literacy and mathematical growth for our middle school students. As someone who aspires to a career in medicine, I am particularly interested in pediatrics, which is another reason why I enjoy working with and caring for kids. With my Mexican roots, I am fully fluent in Spanish, and I am currently working on enhancing my French skills.
